To explore the various types, please click one of the links below. The types are:

Interest
This type of Network is based on subjects that the user finds to be interesting. They may be work-related or hobby-related. Membership in this type of Network is open to anyone with an ESA username and password.

Occupation
This type of Network is based on jobs or occupation that the user holds or would like to hold. There may be particular overlap between the Occupation and Interest Networks, so be sure to check both areas for all listings in your particular subject area. Membership in this type of Network is open to anyone with an ESA username and password.

Demographic
This type of Network is based on standard demographic breakdowns of age, ethnicity, geographic location, etc. Membership in this type of Network is open to anyone with an ESA username and password.

Organization
This type of Network is based on groups that exist outside of the ESA structure. In some cases they are free-standing entomological societies. It is important to note that access to this Network is not controlled by the other organization and there are no barriers to joining this Network type on the ESA site. Membership in this type of Network is open to anyone with an ESA username and password.

Branch
This type of Network is based on the geographic Branch of ESA that the user belongs to or a branch that the user has indicated they would like to be in contact with through the "Branch-Interest" database field. Membership in this type of Network is open to any current ESA member. Please note that you cannot un-join your Home Branch (the branch in which you reside), but you can modify your selections by updating the Branch-Interest field in the Membership Directory.

Section
This type of Network is based on the Society's Sections, as defined in the ESA Bylaws. There are four Sections and a member can join one for free and additional Sections for a fee. Membership in this type of Network is open to any current ESA member. Please note that you cannot un-join your Section-based Networks until the next renewal season when you can opt to not renew your membership in that particular Section.

Old Section
This type of Network is based on the previous ESA Section structure of 6 Sections and 8 SubSections. Membership in this type of Network is open to anyone with an ESA username and password.

Committee
This type of Network is based on any current ESA committee membership in one of the standing committees, the Certification Board, Publications Council, or the ESA Governing Board. Please note that you cannot un-join your Committee-based Networks until your tenure on the committee is finished.
