African Water Facility (AWF)
The AWF is an initiative led by the African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW) to mobilize financial resources for water sector development in Africa. Created in 2004, the AWF is hosted and managed by the African Development Bank (AfDB). Its mandate is to improve the enabling environment and strengthen water resources management so as to attract the massive and appropriate investments necessary to achieve the national and regional objectives

The Comisión Nacional del Agua (CNA) serves as an administrative unit of the Environment and Natural Resources Secretariat (SEMARNAT) in Mexico. Its main objective is the administration and preservation of the Mexican national waters, while encouraging participation by the society in order to achieve the sustainable use of this natural resource. The CNA is the governmental body that will host the 4th World Water Forum, which will take place in Mexico City from March 16th to 22nd.

The United Nations In September 2005, the World Water Council was granted Special Consultative status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. This special status gives the Council the opportunity to designate official representatives to the United Nations Headquarters in New York and their offices in Geneva and Vienna. In addition, the Council may attend UN-sponsored meetings, conferences and activities of special interest to NGO's and may actively contribute to the UN's reflection on important issues in this domain.
