Special Series: Cesarean Delivery in New Jersey

The Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology Program supports developing strategies to improve (MCH) outcomes through ongoing surveillance of MCH indicators, the Pregancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) and special research projects.

MCH Block Grant Application, 2009

New Jersey PRAMS is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help plan better health programs for New Jersey mothers and infants. One out of every 48 new mothers are sampled each month, when newborns are 2-6 months old, about their feelings and experiences before, during and after their pregnancy.
