Eliminating Health Disparities: Resources for Physicians
Working Together to End Racial and Ethnic Disparities: One Physician at a Time* (PDF icon PDF–148K)

This kit helps physicians eliminate gaps in health care based on race and culture. It includes the following:

  • DVD featuring interviews with physicians, nurses, and patients discussing inequalities in health care.
     
  • CD-ROM with facts on the components of health care disparities such as cultural competence and health literacy.
     
  • Facilitation guide to help physicians and other health care providers work to improve the quality of care for all patients.

Educating Physicians on Controversies and Challenges in Health*

This series of brief streaming videos informs primary care physicians about the challenges and controversies at the interface of clinical medicine and public health, and offers possible strategies to address these issues in their practices.
