New Jersey Community Housing
Demonstration Programs (NJCHDP)
The New Jersey Community Housing Demonstration Programs include
an array of programs established in partnership with the Department
of Human Services' Divisions of Developmental Disabilities (DDD),
Mental Health Services, Youth and Family Services and the Commission
for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI). Each program serves
a specific target population(s) and assists project sponsors by
providing low-interest financing to develop innovative and flexible
housing opportunities for individuals and families seeking affordable
housing with supportive services in independent community-based
settings. NJCHDP programs are listed below:
Housing Opportunities For The Blind and Visually Impaired
This program provides low-interest construction and permanent financing
to non-profits, for-profits and municipalities developing service
enriched transitional and/or permanent housing opportunities for
individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
