Description
LPV 03d.2: The existing levee segment, which is approximately 3200 feet in length, adjoins LPV-04.2 on the south and the West Return Floodwall to the north.The existing levee is deficient in cross section and elevation and does not meet current design standards. Several plans are under consideration to raise the existing levee and increase the cross section, relocate the levee to the west, or other structural alternatives. Primary design and construction considerations include maintaining operation of the runway during construction, maintaining visibility and alignment of the runway approach lighting, and
coordination of all activity with the Airport Authority.
