General Resources: Romania

Created and maintained by the
 European Division
Collections and Services Directorate

In general, the names of web sites originating in Romania have been given here in Romanian, with the accompanying annotation providing an English translation. Romanian diacritical marks have not been used.

It is a common practice for many web sites created in non-English speaking countries to provide an interface not only in the national language but also in English in order to reach an international audience. Keep in mind that such bilingual (or multilingual) Web sites are often more complete in the national language.

The web sites described in this section provide general information; general portals; residential and organizational telephone/address directories; statistical resources for all disciplines; and state symbols, holidays and currency.
