Ethiopian E-Mail Distribution Network (EEDN) (http://www.EEDN.org)
"Its primary mission is to provide a non-moderated forum for a constructive exchange of views and information concerning the social, political and economic challenges facing Ethiopia. As such, the network aims at promoting the welfare of all Ethiopians by focusing on our shared aspirations, cultivating a democratic culture, and exploring the prospects for Ethiopian democracy and prosperity."

Harar Network (http://www.ethiosearch.com/newhararis/portal%5Fcontent.asp)
" The foundation of Harar goes back to the foundation of the first Muslim sultanate at the central and southern Ethiopia in 896 A.D. ... Despite its commercial, religious and cultural importance, Harar was for centuries a closed and mysterious city until the early 19th century. After the defeat at the battle of challanqo [sic] in 1887, by Melelik of Shewa, Harar ceased to be an independent state and was forced to become part of Ethiopia. Today Harar is the smallest state in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethipia [sic], located in the south eastern about 526 km from Addis Ababa."
