Bibliography: Olympic Rules

The titles listed here should be sufficient to answer most questions regarding the rules of sports, playing surfaces and fields, and equipment. It should be noted that international rules sometimes differ from professional and intercollegiate rules. Olympic rules can also vary, as they are sometimes modified by the international governing bodies in conjunction with the organizing committees of the individual games. The relevant international federation should be contacted for specific cases where the rules and their interpretation are in question. Addresses for the international federations may be found in the United States Olympic Committee Fact Book (to be found in the section of "Official Publications").
