List of all species from the Galapagos Islands

The Charles Darwin Foundation for the first time now publishes a regularly updated online repository of all known species from the Galapagos Islands to share and make available species data that we have assembled during 5 decades of ecological monitoring, extensive in-depth review of published and gray literature, and taxonomic revisions of specimen records deposited in our Natural History Collections. Making this information publicly available represents an important milestone  towards a better, comprehensive understanding of the unique Galapagos biodiversity. While this repository represents the state of our knowledge, new species are still being discovered in the Galapagos, and new records will continue  to be added.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in supporting our effort to make this scientific information publicly available or if you can contribute information.
