Welcome to the Utah Department of Health's Pandemic Influenza Web site. Here you can find information to help you, your family and your community prepare for an influenza pandemic. There are also resources for government, health care providers, and public health agencies, as well as a weekly update of how avian influenza is moving around the globe.

An influenza pandemic is a global outbreak of serious illness in people. It can be caused by a strain of influenza that most people have no natural immunity to and that is easily spread from person to person.

Currently, there is no influenza pandemic.
