NCPTT is expanding its training in Cemetery Monument Conservation to three
levels in 2006: Basic, Introductory, and Advanced. Information on these
workshops is available on NCPTT's web site and through the NPS My Learning
Manager. NCPTT conducted a CMC Basics workshop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on
March 25. The workshop is designed to assist participants in preserving their
local cemeteries. Preservation Oklahoma, Inc. is co-sponsoring the four-hour
interactive workshop, which will provide information on assessing the conditions
of grave markers, identifying types of stones and other materials, cleaning
techniques, and making simple repairs.
