Neal Anderson

Gouache painting of a pair of Red-breasted Mergansers by Neal Anderson, 7401 Stevens Ridge Rd., Lincoln, Nebraska 68516. Anderson, an avid hunter and outdoorsman, also won the 1988 contest with a design of a pair of lesser scaup, which appeared on the 1989-90 Federal Duck Stamp. Anderson studied at Omaha Art School and has been a full-time artist since 1986, specializing in waterfowl and painting exclusively in gouache. His work is renowned for its detail, sharpness, and clarity.
