Description: This small campground includes 12 rustic campsites located along the scenic upper Williams River.

Location: Located on Forest Road 86 via the Highland Scenic Highway (State Route 150), 4 miles south of the Williams River Bridge turnoff.

Directions: From Marlinton take US Route 219 north 7 miles to State Route 150, which is the Highland Scenic Highway. Turn left onto Route 150 and drive 9 miles to the Williams River Bridge turnoff, located on the left. Turn right at the stop sign onto Forest Road 86 and drive 3 miles to the intersection of Forest Road 216. Take a hard right onto Forest Road 216 and drive 1 mile to Day Run Campground.

Facilities: Each campsite has a parking spur, picnic table, fire ring with a grill, a waste receptacle and a lantern hanger. Several campsites also have a tent pad, although all sites are suitable for tent or trailer camping. Vault (pit) toilets and one hand pump well are located in the campground. There are no electric or water hook-ups.

Attractions:

Fishing: The Williams River is known for its great fishing. The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources stocks catchable size trout in March, April, May and October. A state fishing license, National Forest stamp, and trout stamp are required.

Hiking: The campground is located within 4 miles of the Tea Creak Area

Reservable - No. Sites are on a first come, first served basis.

Notes:

Maximum length of stay is 14 days.
There is no trash collection service. Please remove all liter.
