Point Reyes National Seashore makes every effort to keep the public informed about news events, accomplishments, employee recognitions, special and re-occurring events which occur within and around the units of the Park Service.

Point Reyes National Seashore issues news releases to local and regional newspapers, and publishes Visitor Guides and other newsletters. Park Wavelengths is a bi-weekly email that contains natural and cultural history information, notices about events and other news about the Seashore.

Point Reyes Lighthouse  

Did You Know?
The Point Reyes Lighthouse was completed in 1870, 16 years after Congress initially appropriated funds for its construction. It still stands in its original location, having weathered over 135 years at what is considered to be the windiest, foggiest location on the US west coast.
