R E P O R T

[To accompany H. Res. 161]

The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House Resolution 161, by a record vote of 8 to 4, report the same to the House with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted.

SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION

The resolution authorizes the Speaker to entertain motions that the House suspend the rules at any time on the legislative day of Friday, February 16, 2007, for consideration of the bill (H.R. 976) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax relief for small businesses, and for other purposes.
