WASHINGTON, D.C.—ARMY CADET CONAN ALAILIMA VISITS  CONGRESSMAN FALEOMAVAEGA  IN DC
 
Congressman Faleomavaega was pleased to meet with Mr. Conan V. Alailima in his DC office.  Mr. Alailima is currently attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York under a nomination by Congressman Faleomavaega in 1998.  He will be graduating from the academy in just over a year.  Cadet Alailima is spending time with relatives in the Washington, DC area during his Spring break and while here, he is taking advantage of the tremendous resources available at the Library of Congress to do research for a class paper.

 
“It was a pleasant surprise and I was glad that Conan stopped by to visit with me,” Congressman Faleomavaega said.  “I am very proud of Conan’s progress at West Point and I look forward to when he graduates in about a year.” 

 
Cadet Alailima has a younger brother named Birdsall Vo’a Alailima who is a Freshman at the same academy.  Both are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Leiataua Birdsall and Marlene Jahnke Ala’ilima of Tafuna.
