NCPTT Student interns, Stace Miller and Ifrah Jamil, represented the Center at the Northwestern State University of Louisiana Annual Research Day on Wed., April 11.

Miller presented progress on the establishment of the NCPTT/NSU laser research facility and discussed advances in her work on the use of lasers for graffiti removal from marble. Additionally, she is comparing laser cleaning with a newly developed technology using high pressure liquid nitrogen cleaning. Jamil presented findings and progress on understanding the development of scale on granite headstones in the western United States.
