The VA General Freight Services Program
Freight Transportation: CONUS to CONUS and International
VA Transportation and Logistics Center, a Division of Office of Acquisition and Materiel Management, is responsible for processing bills of lading (VCBL) for all VA medical facilities. The VCBLs are used to transport medical supplies and equipment used in direct and indirect patient care to sites inside the Continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Manila and many International sites. Bills of lading are required for shipments having estimated freight charges greater than $250 and covers small shipments (less than truckload) and full truckloads.
- General Freight Tender of Service:
- Part 1 of the VA GFTOS defines terms and conditions for Transportation Service Providers (TSP) to qualify to submit rate tenders to VA. VA Tender of Service No. VA-1
- Part II of the VA GFTOS, VA GFTOS 100A , defines the Rules and Accessorial charges governing VA freight shipments.
- Part III of the VA GFTOS, VA GFTOS 1000A , defines how to prepare and submit rate tenders to VA for VA freight traffic.
