JON DUDAS BECOMES ACTING UNDER SECRETARY FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Jon Dudas today became acting Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Acting Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Dudas takes the post under the succession provisions of the 1999 American Inventors Protection Act. For the two years prior to assuming the role of Acting Under Secretary and Director, Dudas was Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of USPTO.
