Commissioner for Trademarks to Host Trademark E-Government Seminar

The Commerce Department's U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Commissioner for Trademarks, Anne Chasser, will host a training seminar, featuring a demonstration of the agency's award-winning Trademark Electronic Filing System (TEAS) for prospective users and offering "nuts-and-bolts" perspectives from trademarks applicants who have used the system. Electronic government is a cornerstone of the President's Management Agenda. Approximately 25% of USPTO's trademark applicants currently use USPTO's faster, more efficient electronic filing system. The seminar is intended to increase the number of trademark filers using the system.

Due to special security procedures at the New York Public Library, pre-registration is required.
