Seeking Your Input

National Marine Sanctuaries are seeking your participation for the following activities:

Florida Keys publishes a proposed rule for technical corrections and minor substantive changes to its regulations. The public comment period ends January 20, 2009.

The Monitor National Marine Sanctuary is holding five public meetings in early December 2008 to solicit comments on priority issues for the management plan review process. Public comments are accepted until February 1, 2009. For more information see the Federal Register notice or visit the Monitor management plan review web site.

NOAA published a federal register notice to announce the availability of the Draft NOAA Deep-Sea Coral and Sponge Research and Management Strategic Plan for a 90-day public comment period. The Draft NOAA Deep-Sea Coral and Sponge Research and Management Strategic Plan will be available here (pdf) for a period of 90 days from the date of publication of the Federal Register Notice. The Federal Register Notice, which includes instructions on submitting comments, is available here (pdf).

Advisory Councils
A Sanctuary Advisory Council is a community-based advisory group consisting of representatives from various user groups, government agencies and the public at large.
