30 CFR §56.12034 Guarding around lights

Portable extension lights, and other lights that by their location present a shock or burn hazard, shall be guarded.

This standard requires that portable extension lights and other lights that, by their location, present a shock or burn hazard be guarded.

 

There is no MSHA policy for this standard.

Issues to Consider in Determining Compliance:

·        Are portable extension lights guarded?

Ø      Do the lights present a shock or burn hazard to persons who may be in the area?

·        Are other lights that, by their location, present a shock or burn hazard guarded?
