Following are some resources related specifically to FE(L)TPs, including information for those interested in starting an FE(L)TP and other useful links.

Starting an FE(L)TP

Countries interested in an FE(L)TP generally undergo a series of steps to determine the appropriateness of starting such a program. Teams of experts conduct in-country pre-assessments and assessments, leading to a recommendation. If the determination is made to start an FE(L)TP, implementation begins.

Field Epidemiology Training Program Development Handbook

The Field Epidemiology Training Program Development Handbook explains the process of starting an FE(L)TP. Designed for public health professionals who want to implement or strengthen their FE(L)TPs, the handbook delineates the key factors that contribute to a sound and effective applied epidemiology training program.

Field Epidemiology Training Programs Networks

The Training programs in Epidemiology and Public Health Interventions NETwork (TEPHINET) and the African Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) are non-profit professional alliances of field epidemiology training programs. These networks are a valuable source of information for those interested in FETPs.
