On Aug. 9, NCPTT, Cane River Creole National Historical Park and Cane River National Heritage Area hosted the seventh annual Preservation In Your Community event at Nelson Hall in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

The event included keynotes by archeologist Ken Brown and architect Eddie Cazayoux as well as three research presentations by NCPTT’s summer interns. Results of research and preservation activities were also presented in posters displayed around the auditorium. The public had an opportunity to interact with the summer interns and ask questions regarding their work.
