Tribal Training

The FGDC works closely with Federal, State and Tribal organizations to provide training workshops and education opportunities to assist Tribes in building the NSDI.  Partnerships with the FGDC and the Tribes are in place with:

  • US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS)
    FGDC supports tuition, food and lodging in Shepherdstown, WV. Transportation must be provided by the participant.
    • GIS Introduction for Conservation Professionals (TEC7112), offered November 4-6, 2008, May 19-21, 2009, July 14-16, 2009.
    • GIS Cartographic Design (TEC7118), offered August 25-27, 2009.
    • GPS Introduction for Natural Resource Field Personnel (TEC7132), offered March 2-5, 2009, August 3-6, 2009.

  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
    FGDC supports travel, food and lodging in Emmitsburg, MD
