NCPTT was awarded the Harriette Merrifield Forbes Award for its Cemetery Preservation Initiative, which includes conservation training and research with partners such as the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Association of Gravestone Studies only awards one Forbes Award each year to recognize “outstanding contributions in such areas as scholarship, publications, conservation, education, and community service.”
