Daily Hydrologic Activities Discussion
Thursday January 15, 2009

Light snowfall occurred across much of the Rocky
Mountain states, western Nebraska and Kansas, and
the southwestern corner of South Dakota during the
24-hour period ending at 12Z this morning. With few
exceptions, reported water-equivalent amounts were
less than a quarter of an inch.

During the following 24-hour period ending at 12Z
Friday, widely scattered light snow is forecast
to occur across portions of the Missouri Basin.
No significant accumulations are expected.

No flooding has been reported within the Missouri
Basin, and none is forecast to occur.

Wednesday January 14, 2009

Light precipitation was scattered across much of Iowa,
the Dakotas, Montana, and northern Wyoming during the
24-hour period ending at 12Z this morning. With few
exceptions, reported water-equivalent amounts were
less than a third of an inch.

Snow is forecasted to occur across much of Montana,
Wyoming, Colorado, and the western halves of Nebraska
and Kansas during the following 24-hour period, ending
at 12Z Thursday. Basin-average water equivalent amounts
are expected to be less than a quarter of an inch.

No flooding has been reported within the Missouri Basin,
and none is forecast to occur.

Light precipitation was scattered across much of the
Missouri River basin during the 24-hour period ending
at 12Z this morning. Most of the larger amounts were
reported in the Rockies of northern Colorado and
southern Wyoming, where a number of sites reported
snow water equivalents of 0.50 inches or greater.
