Site: Potable Water-Cross Connection Control Program
Violation: In the listing of backflow prevention devices, the plumbing system component that the device was connected to was not consistently provided. The devices on the showers in the hospital were listed as Watts N9C, but non-continuous pressure type devices were installed on the shower hoses.
Recommendation:Ensure that the cross-connection control program includes at minimum: a complete listing of cross-connections and the backflow prevention method/device for each, so that there is a match to the plumbing system component and location, and an inspection frequency. Ensure that air-gaps are included in the listing.
