Item No.: 08
Site: Other-POTABLE WATER
Violation: THE BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES ON THE POTABLE WATER LINES TO THE SALON WERE FITTED WITH DRAINLINES WHERE THE ENDS OF THE DRAINLINES WERE DIFFICULT TO SEE.
Recommendation:Either fit the devices with clear drain lines or position the ends of the installed drain lines such that they are visible. This would enable staff in determining whether or not the devices are leaking and need replacing.
Site: Other-FOOD SERVICE-GENERAL
Violation: AN AIR GAP OR BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE WAS NOT PROVIDED FOR EACH ICE MACHINE. CHEMICALS WERE POURED INSIDE OF THE ICE MACHINES DURING CLEANING.
Recommendation:Backflow preventers shall be installed when air gaps are impractical or when water under pressure is required.
*Inspections scores of 85 or lower are NOT satisfactory
