October 2008 - The U.S. Army War College Information as Power website is now available on MERLN's Digital Collections Page.  This site is an electronic library of current and historical articles and documents selected to facilitate understanding of the information element of national power.

April 2008 - The Defence Academy of the United Kingdom has contributed a variety of publications to MERLN.  The Defence Academy Journal, selected publications from the Advanced Research and Assessment Group, selected papers from the Joint Service Command and Staff College, and AERADE (Aerospace and Defence Internet Portal) can all be accessed from MERLN's Publications page.

March 2008  - A new category has been added to the China Military Policy Awareness Link (MiPAL) that highlights China's growing role in Africa.  This new section features research on Sino-African relations from a global network of think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and research institutes.  Please visit the China MiPAL and select China's Role in Africa from the list of categories.

July 2007 - The National Defense University Library is pleased to announce a major new addition to MERLN's Military Policy Awareness Links (MiPALs) series: Regional Policy Overviews.  Dividing the world into six major geographic areas, Regional Policy Overviews provide an overview of major U.S. government policies in each region, along with Congressional Research Service Reports and links to research institutes with scholarly analysis of each region.  Access the Regional Policy Overviews by visiting MERLN's MiPALs page.

April 2007 - The United States Australia Report on Operational Level Interoperability is now available on MERLN's Digital Collections page.  These documents shape the future of training and capability development between the two forces as well as the methods to conduct information sharing and planning and conduct of coalition operations and security cooperation.
