Kirk Cordell and Andy Ferrell participated in planning for "Preserving Coastal Forts: An NPS Workshop" that is scheduled April 8-10, 2008, in Charleston, South Carolina. The workshop will provide a forum for learning and sharing information about the preservation problems and solutions common to masonry coastal fortifications. Planning partners include the Southeast Regional Office, Fort Sumter National Monument, and the Historic Preservation Training Center.
