In February, NCPTT offered technical advice to the Heritage Preservation Training Center about the cleaning and repair of 48 cenotaphs located in Congressional Cemetery in Washington, D.C. The work, which is funded by the National Cemetery Administration, began in Oct. 2006 and is expected to continue into FY 2008. Further work between the two units may include NCPTT’s involvement in technical analysis and treatment recommendations for two large marble monuments, the MaComb and the Arsenal Monuments.
