Teacher Workshops introduce teachers to National Park Service resources.

This year's workshops include:

  • June 10, 2009 (Wednesday) - Lincoln Bicentennial: Travel by Amtrak to Springfield, IL, to visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and Lincoln Home National Historic Site.
    (Amtrak ticket price TBD). Limit: 25 reservations.
  • October 24, 2009 (Saturday) - Arch Builders: Activities and resources about the construction of the Gateway Arch.

Did You Know?
The Lewis and Clark expedition sent back animals to President Jefferson from Ft. Mandan. Four magpies, a prairie dog, and a sharptailed grouse were sent back with Corporal Warfington. Unfortunately, only the prairie dog and one magpie survived the arduous journey. Learn more about the journey here.
