PURPOSE

This is a change to the Request for Applications, “Transdisciplinary Tobacco 
Use Research Centers,” published in the NIH Guide on October 3, 2003, 
(http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-CA-04-012.html).  Under 
REVIEW CRITERIA, A.  RESEARCH PROJECTS, 6. Transdisciplinary Collaboration, 
the first “and” in the first sentence of that text is hereby changed to 
“and/or.”

Original text:
6. Transdisciplinary Collaboration. Is there evidence of significant 
transdisciplinary basic, clinical and public health interactions in the 
conception, design, and proposed implementation of the project? Is the 
proposed research informed by the breadth of relevant scientific 
literature from multiple disciplines in the social, behavioral, and 
biological sciences?

Revised text:
