Environmental Benefits Analysis
In the mid-1970s the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers began developing procedures to assess habitats that gradually shifted the emphasis of environmental assessments away from resource inventories. ERDC personnel have assisted District planners and biologists with the following: Terrestrial and aquatic versions of the Habitat Evaluation Procedures (HEP), Instream Flow Incremental Methodology (IFIM), Rapid Bioassessment Protocols (IFIM), and the Hydrogeomorphic Approach for Assessing Wetlands Functions (HGM). |
