FAQ
DOCLINE -- MARC 21 Report with no 863 Information

Question: Why is there no holdings data for some records in the MARC 21 output report?
Answer:

For a limited retention holdings record (e.g., Latest 5 years), this information is displayed in the 008 field positions 13 through 15. If the number of units is greater than 10, position 14 will be blank and the number will display in the 852 $z. For more information, see the topic MARC 21 Overview under "Generating Serial Holdings Reports" in the online help.

NLM currently provides output of data from SERHOLD to OCLC, and also outputs Union Lists in html and delimited formats and individual library holdings data in html, delimited, and MARC 21 formats.
