Cultural Programs
The Mid Atlantic Region offers an array of cultural programming, including events for the public such as family history workshops; research in archives; teaching history using archival documents; facility tours; exhibits; and lectures. The archives facility can accommodate groups and educators and students by special arrangement. The Mid Atlantic Region features an exhibit space with a permanent exhibit and rotating exhibits.

Programs
On-site Programs
The Mid Atlantic Region provides on-site public programming each year. The programming includes Family History Workshops, Open Houses, lectures, tours, and other activities. Workshop topics include census records, naturalization records, immigration records, and military service records.
Programs are usually scheduled during the week and on our second and fourth Saturday openings. For a full list of current offerings check our Regional Archives calendar.
Off-site Programs
Can't make it to the archives facility for a workshop? The Mid Atlantic Region may be able to send a speaker to your event or program.
Mid Atlantic Region speakers present off-site talks on many topics and can custom-tailor presentation content to meet the specific interests of the group. Current offerings cover such topic as:

Presentations are usually one hour. Shorter or longer talks are available, as are other topics.
There is no charge for speakers but donations to our Gift Fund are appreciated. Travel costs and staff schedules may affect speaker availability.
Reservations are required at least 4 weeks in advance.

Exhibits
The Mid Atlantic Region exhibit gallery features a permanent exhibit and rotating exhibits. The exhibit gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the second Saturday of each month, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free.
Onsite Exhibits
Our exhibit gallery is open to the public, free of charge. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the second Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
