IntroductionDescription: Between 1998-2002, a total of 2,753 individuals with acute occupational pesticide-related illness were identified by the nine states participating in the Sentinel Event Notification System for Occupational Risks (SENSOR)-Pesticides program. To query these data, go to the 'Search Database' page. An article summarizing the 1998-1999 data was published in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine. Methods: Survey data from 1998-2002 were obtained from the nine states (AZ, CA, FL, LA, MI, NY, OR, TX and WA) that conducted acute occupational pesticide-related illness surveillance as part of the SENSOR program during those years. Data were collected by these state programs using a standardized case definition and standardized variables. Use the links to the right to explore the database offerings and related sites.
