Any U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employee, former employee, or applicant for employment who believes that he/she has been discriminated against by the Corps of Engineers in connection with an employment action or policy on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, or reprisal, must contact one of the EEO staff within 45 calendar days of the alleged discriminatory personnel action or incident before filing a formal complaint of discrimination. Class action complaints will be directed to the EEO Manager for counseling. If a formal complaint is to be filed, it must be filed by the complainant within 15 calendar days after receipt of the notice of Right to File letter issued by the EEO Counselor. Formal complaints may be submitted to the Activity EEO Manager, the District Commander, Director of Equal Employment Opportunity (DA) or the Secretary of the Army. Complainant is requested, however, to submit a copy of his/her complaint to the District EEO Manager regardless with whom it is filed.
The policy of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is to provide equal
employment opportunity to applicants and its employees based on
their qualifications and merit, regardless of race, color, sex,
religion, national origin, age, or disability.
