HEHO! Activity Worksheets and Activities (PDF file, 1.30 MB) are recommended activities for before and after a field trip visit to Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. Classroom teacher and park ranger Kristen Bergren developed the activities as part of the Teacher to Ranger to Teacher Program.
 
The Herbert Hoover Story: A Curriculum Guide for Teachers (PDF file, 14.1 MB) relates Herbert Hoover's boyhood in Iowa with his later accomplishments as a global humanitarian. The guide has pre-visit and post-visit activities to complement a field trip to the National Historic Site.
 
Herbert Hoover: Iowa Farm Boy and World Humanitarian is a classroom lesson plan with activities that strengthen students' skills of observation, analysis, and interpretation related to history, geography, the social sciences, and the arts.
 
Tallgrass Prairie: A Multidisciplinary Curriculum for Teachers (PDF file, 24.9 MB) provides opportunities for learning and activities in science, social studies, language arts, mathematics, and reading. It encourages observations, problem solving, and high-order thinking.
