Plan A Field Trip

Self Guided
Educational groups are encouraged to use the park for their own programs. Because trails are used for ranger led education programs, we ask that you contact us to schedule the use of trails to minimize conflicts.

Entrance-fee waivers are available for educational visits but not for recreational visits. A statement of your educational objectives and your lesson plan with an outline of educational activities is required.

To request an educational fee waiver for groups, please contact our office. Camping fees are not included in the entrance fee waiver.

Ranger Guided
Due to the high demand for our programs, priority for scheduling is given to teachers who have completed our 16 hour teacher workshop. Otherwise, scheduling is done on a first-come, first-served basis through reservation requests submitted by grade level chairs. Information packets are mailed to the school districts that we serve. They are mailed at the start of the new school year.

You can access all of our field trip program descriptions through this web page. Within the Lake Mead area, we serve primarily the Clark County School District. Within the Lake Mohave area, we serve various school districts of Mohave County, Arizona. Programs are offered to grades 1-5 from mid-October through April. They begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at noon. For further information, please call the Environmental Education office at (702) 293-8716 or e-mail us
