Hagerman Fossil Beds offers a variety of fun and exciting educational opportunities for school and youth groups.  Our programs are designed to meet Idaho Achievement Standards in Idaho science and history.

Classroom Programs:

Invite a Park Ranger to visit your classroom for a hands-on, interactive educational program.  Each prepared program can be tailored to fit the specific needs of your group.

Park Field Trips:

Come to Hagerman Fossil Beds for a hands-on exploration of the fossil beds.  Park Rangers can present formal programs, lead a guided walk, or help you plan a special program.

Educational school programs are offered throughout the school year. Reservations are required.

Did You Know?
The Hagerman Fossil Beds paleontology crew has made some unusual finds. Early one summer the field crew found an articulated skeleton of a suckerfish (family Catostomidae) which was later jacketed and brought back to the lab for cleaning and study.
