Visiting Chamizal National Memorial can be a wonderful learning experience for you and your students. Below are a few suggestions to keep in mind when planning your visit.

• Bring enough chaperones and volunteers (1 for every 10 students).

• Call at least two weeks in advance to arrange your visit.

Chamizo Plant  

Did You Know?
Chamizal National Memorial is named after a plant. Chamizal means "land where the chamiso grows". The Spanish word "chamiso" is the common name for four-wing salt bush (atriplex canescens).
