Ways We've Helped Others

...and could help you!

We have performed many technical assistance projects for Federal agencies, both large and small, in recent years. Some have been accomplished as partnerships under the Targeted Assistance initiative. Others were done without a formal Memorandum of Understanding.

Some of our past and current projects include:

  • Working with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to identify historically valuable records, teach records management workshops, inventory a large collection of original historic film footage, and develop records management strategies and historic records capture re facility decommissions and demolitions.

  • Writing and designing materials for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service suitable for on-line self-paced records management training.

  • Interaction with the Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office to create file plans for each branch, merging paper and electronic recordkeeping into single unified plans.

  • Cooperation with the National Institute of Safety and Health to identify permanently valuable material in several hundred cubic feet of case files dating from the Institute's early days in the 1970s.

  • Working with two Department of Energy closure sites to ensure proper retention of records of long-term value documenting the environment.

  • Participation in nationwide initiatives with the U.S. Forest Service and NASA, rescheduling important records series to aid those agencies in harvesting historically valuable information before it becomes lost.
