Introduction

The Atmosphere and Climate category page provides a listing of the most relevant metadata records about the dynamic processes and phenomena of the atmosphere.

Live Data and Maps

Content Summary: NCDC, the world's largest active archive of weather and climate data, provides access to a number of its datasets (i.e. surface, precipitation, climate, NEXRAD, USCRN) through GIS services. In situ station data can be displayed with ArcIMS and qualified through its metadata. Advanced Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) services, such as Web Map Services (WMS) and Web Feature Services (WFS) are also available.
