Description: We as parents are often overwhelmed; it is challenging to be a parent today. It is even more demanding to raise children when the responsibility rests with one parent. But good solid parenting has less to do with the number of parents in the home and more to do with the quality of parenting. Whether the single parent household is headed by a mother, father, or a grandparent, raising children is an enormous task but you are not alone. Since 1970, the number of children living in a single parent family has doubled. Attend this seminar to learn how to embrace your role as single parent, develop realistic expectations of yourself, and build your support network. Also learn strategies for communicating with your children, understanding their feelings and maximizing quality time with them in this busy world. Exchange ideas with other single parents and find out how to make your life less stressful.
