Subject UPDATED: Medicare HETS Internet Eligibility - System Outage Notification - September 27, 2008

Medicare HETS UI Internet Eligibility Submitters:
CMS IT has provided a revised estimate for the HETS UI Internet Eligibility system outage on Saturday, September 27, 2008.  The outage is now expected to begin at 10:00 AM EDT on Saturday, September 27, 2008.  CMS estimates that the outage will end at 3:00 PM EDT on Saturday, September 27, 2008.
Please also note that the website address (properly known as the Uniform Resource Locator or URL) of the HETS UI Internet Eligibility system will change during Saturday's outage.  As previously announced, CMS requests that all HETS UI Internet Eligibility Users update their login process and/or any 'favorites' you may have saved in your internet browser as follows:

The website address (properly known as the Uniform Resource Locator or URL) of the HETS UI Internet Eligibility system will change in the near future.  CMS reserves the right to change website URLs as necessary and without notice.

In order to avoid difficulties with this transition, CMS recommends saving the URL from the Related Links Inside CMS section below in your internet browser's favorites.

Saving this URL in your internet browser's favorites and then proceeding through the CMS Applications Portal (per Section 5.2 of the HETS UI Internet User Guide) will avoid any difficulties associated with future changes to the application URL.  The HETS UI Internet User Guide is available in the Downloads section below.
