HETS UI Internet Eligibility Submitters utilize Individuals Authorized Access to the CMS Computer Services (IACS) to sign in to the HETS UI application.CMS will install a new version of IACS beginning at 11:00 AM EDT on Saturday, September 27, 2008.  The HETS UI Internet Eligibility application will be unavailable during this maintenance window. All attempts to sign into IACS or the HETS UI Internet Eligibility application will error.  CMS estimates that the maintenance will be complete by 3:00 PM (Noon) EDT on Saturday, September 21, 2008.  

The new version of IACS will contain changes that may affect HETS UI Users, including:

• Unsuccessful Login Attempts.  IACS currently indefinitely locks an account after several failed login attempts.  The new version of IACS will lock the account for one hour; after one hour the account will automatically be unlocked.
• Forgotten Password Utility.  IACS will still allow users to reset their own password if they have forgotten what that password is " but IACS will now require additional information from the user before resetting the password.

MCARE will forward a link to an updated copy of the IACS User Guide when the final document is available.
