Free Education Open House in Celebration of Constitution Month

New York, NY...On Thursday, September 27, the National Archives - Northeast Region and the National Park Service will offer a free open house for educators at the Federal Hall National Memorial at 26 Wall Street. This event is part of Constitution Month, as the National Archives celebrates the 220th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution throughout September with exciting public programs nationwide. This program is brought to you in partnership by the National Archives and the National Park Service.

What: Come learn about the educational programs and free primary sources available at the National Archives Northeast Region - New York and the National Park Service. National Archives employees will be on hand to discuss the workshops we offer at our facility in New York City and off-site. We will also showcase our curriculum-related publications, including the "Teaching With Documents" lesson plans, and talk about our Digital Classroom where teachers can access over 60 free online lesson plans. Park Service employees will also discuss their educational resources and conduct tours of Federal Hall.

Please also be sure to see the National Archives interactive exhibit at Federal Hall, called New York: An American Capital. The exhibit explores some of the stories that unite the rich expanse of Federal records held by the National Archives and Records Administration.

Free materials will be available at the open house, and we will have free refreshments and a free raffle!
